Sunday, June 15, 2008 - Another sneak preview on the birds nest.
Ok, I decided if the coast was clear, I would attempt to see if the mother bird was around or food hunting. As luck would have it, she was out hunting for food, and I could see a little bit of white fur at the top of the nest from fifteen away, no site of mom anywhere, so I very slowly approached the nest and snapped a few quick shots of the new arrivals! Didn't even know they were there since only a week ago they were still little blue eggs! So, I guess you can say Happy Father's Day! Today was a good day all around. The family spent some time with my dad at the nursing home, he received a lot of nice pajama shorts for his sleepwear, and he is doing well in the new nursing home. Hoping to see him come home after he gets back on his feet so to speak.
Hope you had a nice weekend too. And hope your dad is doing well on Father's Day.

What A Great Surprise!
June 8, 2008 - My average Sunday doing yard work around the house brings me a grand peek!
This is too cool! To say the least, this has been one heck of a weekend for sure. I certainly covered a lot of bases, delivered on my expectations with clients, and I was greeted with a great surprise to round off my weekend. My weekend started off video taping a graduation on Friday night, Saturday morning I video taped a funeral, Saturday afternoon I recorded an audio session for a classical guitarist, and now this! Sunday, I am in my yard at home, doing my Sunday yard work, and right next to me, this bird takes off like a bat out of hell, the bird scared me as much as I scared her. Didn't even know she was there until she took off. And then I realize that I stumbled upon her nest in a small tree in our yard that I was thinking of removing (NOT). There, right in front of me I see this perfect little nest. I mean it was perfect. Me being curious as I am, took a closer look and.......well out comes my iPhone and I snapped this photo. I hope you know I changed my mind on removing this tree for a while. I may even let the tree stay next year to see if I get new tenants!
My motto lately has been "Expect great things, and you will receive them". I can say without a doubt, those words hold true. First, you must believe in what you tell yourself as true, then watch it unfold in front of you. Have a great week, I know I am.

Up and Coming Classical Guitarist
June 7, 2008 - Audio record tracks for Matt Miskin's CD
I had the extreme pleasure coming back from the funeral that VIP Studios video taped this morning to meet with a friend of mine Nick D'Andrea and Matt Miskin a classical guitarist to lay down some tracks for him so he could have an audio CD to promote. Nick, a school teacher heard Matt playing one day during school and was very impressed. I can see why now. Matt being only fourteen, can play classical guitar very well. We were able to record nine tracks and burn them to a CD by the end of two hours. That's how quick the session went. One take on every song was all it took. Good going Matt! I even let the video camera run so I could have a video track should he want it. I was floored hearing Ava Maria played classical. Yes, it was a very, very good day. I had fun. Here's another track I liked a lot also recorded at VIP Studios.
Check it out!

Another Funeral Service Video Taped
Saturday June 7, 2008 - Meet Mary Macary at Lebanese Church up East Mountain
Mary called the night before and wanted to know if VIP Studios could video tape her father's (Hameed B. Macary) funeral so she could send it to some family overseas. Sounds like this is getting to be something more and more requested since this is my second funeral in the last few months. Even been getting requests for my business card from the funeral homes so they could contact me again. First Lebanese funeral I have done. Very close to a Greek format if you ask me. Although I would say, the job was very good and only took up two hours of my time. It was worth it, and it was a pleasure to meet Mary and her family. From what I understand, Hameed was the one that started the Lebanese Festivals here in Waterbury. He was also very close to the Jarjura family.

Did cha catch that rainbow!
Went to visit my dad in the hospital today and around 7:45 PM it starts pouring! As I was leaving the hospital to get home in the mist of all this, lo and behold, look at that beautiful rainbow! Wow! Did you catch that rainbow today? It was spectacular! If you look close enough you can see it was a double rainbow. This is the first time I have ever seen the sky so brilliant. Truly something to be awed at. I pulled over and snapped some shots with my iPhone.

Another Great Saturday Photo Session!
Saturday, May 24, 2008 - Photo Session with Justin
Stacey, a new client called VIP Studios and asked if she could book a photo session for her son Justin. She would like to get him into possible modeling and casting. Justin was great to work with! Very photogenic, a real gem. A bright and up and coming model with potential.
I feel Justin has great modeling capabilities, he is not afraid to be himself.
I am so glad that I had the opportunity to photograph him.

Photographed Prom pictures for Eric Strachan's family and their friends out in Woodbury, CT!
Eric called VIP Studios and requested to have a photographer present to capture a once in a lifetime moment of his son and friends on Prom Night.
Eric is such a great person, very easy to talk to, and a pleasure to meet and work with. I had asked Eric what he did for a living because the house and grounds were so beautiful! Eric had told me he built homes for a living. Absolutely grand!!!! Please feel free to visit Eric's web site at www.strachanhomes.com
You will be amazed!
It rained a little during the photo session, but that didn't dampen their spirits!
The girls and guys were just great!
What can I say!!!
Off to the Prom!
In Limo style!
(I'm sure they had a great time!)

Feels Like Wedding Season!!!
Today, I spent part of my morning thinking about the new client. The client that needs a wedding photographer. The kind of photographer that wouldn't interrupt their day, take plenty of pictures to view, and capture the essence of the moment.
Looking forward to meeting the new faces with great expectation. I love photographing and being part of their one day of great importance and honored to be chosen to take part in that celebration of life, celebration of love, celebration of two becoming one. This year will be a good year! Congratulations to the bride and groom, their families, and their tears of joy. Thank you for the opportunity to share in this precious moment.......to share in your precious memories.

Looks Like I Started A Fire!!!
Congratulations Gaudi!!
Looks like I started a fire for you and Model Mayhem!
VIP Studios had the pleasure of photographing Gaudi back in February and she was absolutely beautiful to work with. Gaudi contacted me recently and asked if I knew of any places she could show her modeling talents to. I recommended Model Mayhem to her and she went to the web site and signed up, added 20 of the pictures VIP Studios photographed of her and all hell broke loose! She is in high demand now and has been contacted by many, many photographers that saw her pictures.
To see her web site and the images I took of her, you can go to http://www.modelmayhem.com/Gaudi
I am so glad I met you Gaudi! And I LOVE your pictures! You are AWESOME!

Video for Guardian Angels Home Care
Friday, March 28, 2008 - Meet Pat at her office for video shoot at 12:30 PM
Friday was another good day. A new project. This time video. VIP Studios provided video taping for a home care company called Guardian Angels Home Care in regard to new employees. The business owner called me a few months ago and asked if VIP Studios could help her produce a video for employee orientation. I said yes, and when she was ready, we could start the project rolling. She called back and we set a date and time for March 28th. I showed up on time and shooting started at 12:30 PM. There were three parts to cover. Part one was Pat introducing herself and welcoming the new hire to the family of caregivers, part two was Kim giving the orientation, the process of doing the correct procedures expected by the the new hire, plus Q & A or frequently asked questions. Part three was Jessica doing a segment on Living with Dementia. The shoot lasted about two and one half hours, everything went well and I was very pleased with how prepared the company was. Definitely a good company to be involved with either for home care or for employment. I really like the way the company respects and treats you. They would be happily devoted as your Guardian Angel and it shows. Now comes the editing portion of the project. I will make sure this video exceeds their expectations. It would be well worth the effort.

Kara and Brian's Engagement Shoot
Saturday, March 22, 2008 - Meet Kara and Brian at 1:00 PM for pictures.
VIP Studios had a great day photographing Kara and Brian in preparation for their wedding engagement announcement. The wedding will take place in Middlebury on August 8, 2008. The three of us met up at around 1PM on this Saturday past and spent an hour together getting some great pictures and had a wonderful time! I was very pleased with meeting Brian for the first time. He was very easy to work with. Kara is a past client of mine so I kind of knew her from before and I was very comfortable knowing we knew each other which makes everything work so well. We actually took approximately 200 pictures. These are just a few of them that caught my eye for the blog. I still need to finish up going through the rest of them, so hopefully I can get these done soon! See ya!

Rainy day at the studio
Well, I didn't hit the lotto last night and it's been raining all morning, so I guess I will have to put some hours in at VIP Studios. It's a good thing I have a photo shoot this afternoon with a client that needs to document a scar for a legal case pending. This will keep me motivated to say the least because I love working with photographic images and since I can't shoot outside, the studio will be a perfect place for me today.
Just a quick mention to thank Greg for reading my blog. Thanks Greg!! The PVA video meeting was at a new place (The Holiday Inn in Waterbury near Costco) last night and I think by the way things went, I will not have to travel far for the meetings for a while. Thanks Marleen! Great Job!

Three prayers and a funeral
Friday, March 14, 2008 - Meet Ken Reeder at Grace Baptist Church at 9:00 AM
Yes......, I did get a little emotional on this job. A good friend of mine Ken Reeder, a Disc Jockey I have known for over 20 years called VIP Studios and asked if I would be able to video tape his brothers "HomeGoing" Service this week at Grace Baptist Church. I committed and said yes, having done a funeral service before, it wasn't my first, but this one was different. Seeing his brother David Reeder in a open casket and having his mom, brothers, sisters, and extended families all there filling the church pews really got the best of me when the hymns were being sung by the choir, hearing the pains of sorrow from the closest family members and the eulogies they prepared and spoke so softly, broke me down to a humble person. I could not help my eyes from welling up as Amazing Grace rang through those church walls. David must have been a very special person. It showed throughout the service the family so carefully put together. As the pastor spoke, he reminded us that we can make and brake all the appointments we want, but one. God's appointment with us is one that we have no control over, it's in God's hands and when that scheduled appointment is set.....it's time.
I was honored to have the privilege to video tape for Ken Reeder. I have always respected Ken. After today, my thoughts of gratitude, family, and love are more thought about in a more deeper sense. As the saying goes......Here today, gone tomorrow. I want everyday to count now. This is a new day.

A new day, a new start, a new journey into Blogging!
Today is the first day of a hopefully new successful venture. VIP Studios just started its' first blog and here it is! Looking forward to hearing comments from anyone and get me headed in the right direction.
Please meet Ebonee. A very attractive young lady form New York, who called to have her portraits taken at VIP Studios. We had a great time. We took a lot of photographs a few weeks ago and she was very pleased with the vast selection to choose from. What a great gal!
This has turned out to be a very interesting and challenging year for me so far. I am getting immersed in my photography work, trying to juggle between still photography and video photography work has really kept me going in all directions.
I am booking portrait sessions more frequently now at the studio and enjoy the time I spend with my clients. We have a good time together getting creative while the music is playing, sometimes even blasting! Always open to my clients new ideas either in studio or on location. My motto is: at VIP Studios, lets have some fun and get CRAZY!!
Pictures are a blast! Smile baby!
